Today we came across a shocking report that is a must-read for all parents. The report recounts the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) recommended reading list for schools. President Obama's Safe Schools Czar, Kevin Jennings, was the founder, and for many years, Executive Director of GLSEN. It was while he was with GLSEN that this recommended reading list was compiled.
CRI's Karen England commented on GLSEN's recommended reading list, "We regularly report on CRI's work to educate parents and school boards about the importance of protecting our children by not allowing a pro-homosexual curriculum in our schools, and this GLSEN recommended reading list is exactly why we are so adamant about keeping this filth out of our schools!"
Under the direction of Kevin Jennings, the type of GLSEN-recommended reading material recommended will likely be included in the recommended reading lists of many schools in our state -- including within the Alameda School District, as we reported in yesterday's Capitol Update.
