Island of Intolerance?
Alameda Island is six miles across the bay from San Francisco, 68 miles from the capital and at the center of California’s testing of tolerance. Advocacy for the homosexual agenda is not unique to Alameda, of course, but this region of California has broken new ground in its demands for accommodation and the rationale for such demands.
In May 2009, the public school board of this island community of 72,000 sought to implement a classroom curriculum that presents homosexuality and same-sex relationships in a positive light. Such a move may otherwise have gone unnoticed, but the Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) Board created a firestorm by seeking to begin this teaching in first grade. Read more
